The Tallest Man
Hi Mrs.Lambard , i was reading this article about the Tallest Man in the world. But that was in 1940 :) But it count right ? Ok so i gather in some information about him.
The tallest man in medical history for whom there is irrefutable evidence is Robert Pershing Wadlow. He was born at Alton, Illinois, USA, on February 22, 1918, and when he was last measured on June 27, 1940, was found to be 2.72 m (8 ft 11.1 in) tall.
Wadlow died at 1:30 a.m. on July 15, 1940, in a hotel in Manistee, Michigan, as a result of a septic blister on his right ankle caused by a brace, which had been poorly fitted only a week earlier. He was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Alton, in a coffin measuring 3.28 m (10 ft 9 in) long, 81 cm (32 in) wide and 76 cm (30 in) deep.
Wadlow's greatest recorded weight was 222.71 kg (35 st 1 lb) on his 21st birthday and he weighed 199 kg (31 st 5 lb) at the time of his death. His shoe size was 37AA (47 cm, 18½ in long) and his hands measured 32.4 cm (12¾ in) from the wrist to the tip of the middle finger. He wore a size 25 ring. His arm span was 2.88 m (9 ft 5¾ in) and his peak daily food consumption was 8000 calories.
At the age of nine, he was able to carry his father Harold F. Wadlow, later Mayor of Alton, who stood 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) and weighed 77 kg (170 lb), up the stairs of the family home.

The most tattooed person
The ultimate in multi-layered tattooing is represented by the chainsaw juggling, unicycling, sword-swallowing Lucky Diamond Rich (Australia, born New Zealand), who has spent over 1,000 hours having his body modified by hundreds of tattoo artists. He began by having a full collection of colourful designs from around the world tattooed over his entire body. But not content with stopping there, Lucky next opted for a 100% covering of black ink, including eyelids, the delicate skin between the toes, down into the ears, and even his gums. He is now being tattooed with white designs on top of the black, and coloured designs on top of the white!

Bill Belichick stands by his decision to go for it on fourth down rather than punt to the Indianapolis Colts. In his news conference Monday, New England's coach says he thinks that strategy gave his team its best chance to win Sunday night. The gamble failed to produce a first down, however, and Indianapolis took over at the Patriots 29-yard line with two minutes left. Peyton Manning then threw a touchdown pass to Reggie Wayne, and the Colts won 35-34.The Colts' comeback win improved their record to 9-0. The Patriots dropped to 6-3.

'Twilight' fan girls howl for 'New Moon'... Coming out Nov. 20th, 2009
Talk about obsessed fans if they actually wrote "I ♥ You" and "Bite Me" on their faces.
Hey, I am a fan of Twilight myself but I wouldn't go that far by going to a UK Party for the New Moon movie and write those phrases on my face. The farthest I have ever gone was being a vampire for '09 Halloween and that's just about it, with an occasional "Vampires R Pimps," on my arm written in Sharpie, but then taken off the same day. People can go really far like these girls' love for Edward Cullen, the mysterious 17-year-old vampire, and Twilight. Congrats for the author, Steph. Meyer !

Sesame Street Turns 40!
So have you ever watched Sesame Street? Was it a TV show that you remember watching as a child? I'm curious because when I was growing up, we didn't have cable....as in.....it didn't exist. (Yes, I'm old, thanks for reminding me!)
Most of you have grown up with cable/digital satellite in your homes and Nickelodeon has been your network of choice. What differences or similarities do you see between the shows on Nickelodeon and the shows on PBS (like Sesame Street)? Is one better than the other?
Also, I'd like for you to do a little digging and see how Sesame Street has changed. You can find some clues in the article (click on the title of this post!), but you can also ask some of the older people in your life.

Patrents struggle
Hard times and higher fuel prices have followed kids back to school this fall. Many children are walking farther to the bus stop and paying more for lunch. Some are wearing last year's clothes. New textbooks and fancy field trips are a thing of the past, too. In addition, costs for air conditioning and heating, cafeteria food, and classroom supplies are rising. In some places, it's costing nearly twice as much to fuel the yellow buses that rumble to school each morning. Blame these rising costs on the shaky economy. School districts, like everyone else, are feeling the pinch this year. They're trying new ways to keep costs under control. Meanwhile, parents are making up the difference. Many school districts are trying hard to save money. Montgomery County is a district outside of Washington, D.C. Montgomery is heating or cooling only the rooms that are in use. Other school districts are trying to spend less on expensive bus fuel. Hundreds of districts have cut or reduced bus routes. This increases the distance that students must walk to catch the bus. In San Jose, California, parents must pay more for bus service. This helps make up for increased fuel costs. In California's Folsom Cordova School District, bus service for high school students was cancelled. A school district in rural Minnesota has taken a different approach. The district is cancelling classes every Monday. This saves the district at least $65,000 in fuel. Still, there is a cost. The rest of the week, classes are ten minutes longer each day. Kids have to stay awake and alert later in the day. Some parents have to find daycare for their children on Mondays.Other school districts are asking parents for help. In Paw Paw, Michigan, schools are asking parents to drive to athletic trips. Parents in Waterford, Connecticut, are paying for field trips that the school district used to pay for. What's more, many schools are cutting out field trips altogether. The Montgomery County district is cutting funds for its award-winning math team. Parents will have to step in to keep the team going. In spite of parents' help, many school districts will struggle to break even this year. As fuel prices have rocketed higher, the cost of food has also zoomed up. Some schools are charging students more money for school lunches. In Jacksonville, Florida, for example, the price of a school lunch rose from $1.45 to $2. More than half of all schoolchildren in the U.S. get free or reduced-price lunches. Still, government assistance is often not enough to cover what the meals actually cost. This often means that schools must pay the difference. It's not easy for school districts these days. With a little teamwork between parents and schools, though, the future might be a little easier.

A photo of a one-eyed kitten named Cy drew more than a little scepticism when it turned up on various websites, but medical authorities have a name for the bizarre condition.
"Holoprosencephaly'' causes facial deformities, according to the US National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke.
In the worst cases, a single eye is located where the nose should be, according to the institute's Web site.
Traci Allen says the kitten she named Cy, short for Cyclops, was born the night of December 28 with the single eye and no nose.
"You don't expect to see something like that,'' the 35-year-old Allen said by telephone from her home in Redmond in central Oregon.
Allen said she stayed up all night with the deformed kitten on her recliner, feeding Cy a liquid formula through a syringe.
She says she cared for the kitten the next day as well, until it died that evening.
Allen had taken digital pictures that she provided to The Associated Press.Some bloggers have questioned the authenticity of the photo distributed on January 6.
AP regional photo editor Tom Stathis said he took extensive steps to confirm the one-eyed cat was not a hoax.
Stathis had Allen ship him the memory card that was in her camera.On the card were a number of pictures - including holiday snapshots, and four pictures of a one-eyed kitten.
The kitten pictures showed the animal from different perspectives.
Fabricating those images in sequence and in the camera's original picture format, from the varying perspectives, would have been virtually impossible, Stathis said.
Although it might creep some people out I find it very sad.

Is this Real?Your asking well it is Very Real and after the Cat turned 1 years old he grow wings. No one knows how it just happened but the Owners still Love her/Him.
